Founded in 2005, Globe & Anchor Strategies was initially conceived by a group of officers from "America's Battalion" and was based on principles that were common to the Marine Corps, to warfighting, and to marshalling the appropriate resources for any situation: "from the battlefield to the boardroom." This served us well, and instilled in us the belief that certain principles are in fact universal or "global" in nature.

As originally configured, Globe & Anchor was meant to be highly flexible, lean, and adaptive. In other words, the idea of "on demand" was in our nature. Over the years, meaningful connections across diverse industries and geographies allowed us to make good on the claim that we had "global reach."

One of the the beliefs that stems from this thinking is that in our modern, global economy, everything is downstream from money. This concept has led us to a deep, and transformative study of Bitcoin. The link between Bitcoin and the Marine Corps might not be obvious at first, but it rests upon the concept of "decentralization." It is this push to "empower down" that has made the Marine Corps truly special over time, and we see a similar force at play within Bitcoin and the entrepreneurial activity surrounding it.
